A legend can be considered to be any teacher, student or concept directly related to Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School or the surrounding area that has a cult or almost-cult following for a prolonged period of time.

  • If a teacher is well-known and loved by the majority of the school, they should be put in Category: Teacher Legends.
  • If a student is well-known and loved by a large number of people in his or her year group, and the rest of the school, they should be put in Category: Student Legends.
  • If a building, area, or concept is well-known and loved by a large number of people (staff and students), it should be put in Category: Other Legends.

Also please note that the more people that are added, the more "watered down" the significance of being a legend becomes.

Please discuss why someone should become a legend before adding them. Furthermore, do not add yourself!
