Elliot has the uncanny ability to get into trouble. He will do anything that looks fun or amusing, regardless of the consequences. Whenever something bad happens in relation to 08B, Elliot is always the prime suspect, after him Ivan Rhodes and Patrick Barlow are suspected and subjected to severe questioning from teachers such as Mr Reeves. Ellie and Nicole of 08B have a fun way of spelling his name S-M-E-L-L-I-O-T P-E-R-V-I-N-G with quirky little hand gestures, quite amusing actually.

Elliot was once called ET by Mrs Grehan (Miss. Walker at the time). She said this was because he looks like ET. This has not been adopted as a nickname as few remember this moment.
