The Stealing Bag Game is a fantastic game played by many at BRGS. It was created by Freddie Priestley, Uzair Hussain and Milton Ashworth. Matthew Hoyle (Hoyley as some say he likes to be called) was minding his own business when Uzair and Milton stole his bag and ran away with it. There was a long chase involving Luke Quigley and Matthew Lewis too and Hoyley had his bag returned. The new game was therefore declared the 'Stealing Bag Game'. This game has been extended to using PE kit bags and even shoes and socks! On 'Children In Need' day when pupils were allowed to bring in teddy bears, people began to use those too!

Mr Bretherton is known to let them play this game on the condition that "When the bell goes everything is put back".

The most famous chase involved over 10 people and these objects stolen are listed below:

Milton Ashworth's shoes and socks, Matthew Hoyle's bag, Luke Quigley's bag, and unfortunately Matthew Lewis's shoe which was then rubbed in dog poo thus breaching rule three. The game was then "supposedly" called off.

Rules

  • Must return bag at the end.
  • Must not open the bag.
  • Must not damage the bag (unless its Paul Burdekin's bag).
