| |
− | Hi,
| |
− |
| |
− | Just as a heads up, I've altered most of the contact details so that any problems that are uncovered by teaching staff should be addressed to either myself or David. It's not fair on you to be in the firing line. Keep up the brilliant job with the edits, but please refer any problems that arise in school onto us. In fact, tell the school staff to contact us directly if they have any further problems, I imagine they'll be less inclined to argue with someone they have less influence over. It's completely unfair of them to hassle you over it, and I am considering contacting them directly to complain.

| |

| |
− | This is just a general note to all of the moderators - could you please make sure you check your spelling and grammar when editing? It does look unprofessional when the admins can't spell correctly. Most new browsers should have spellcheckers built in.

| |
− | Hi Dangerousx, I'm not sure when the decision will be made. It is quite difficult to decide because there are 3 bureaucrats with different views, I think we are all unsure purely because I'm on a lot, and we think we might not need any more admins because I can clear up whats wrong. To be honest I'm not sure when it will happen, I remember when I asked to be an admin, I had to wait around a month. 16:54, 26 October 2010 (BST)

− | == Changing Page Names ==
| |
− |
| |
− | Hi BRGSMan,
| |
− |
| |
− | I constantly find myself with a need to change page names.
| |
− | I can not see any way to change the names of sub articles, for example the sub-section in 08G, About the groups pupils have ,made in musical futures. This was originally given, what I feel, was a bad name. I changed it and now it seems to be working but it seemed a complicated route. Is their a simpler way to change a name of a page that will carry over the changes to any other attached page?
| |
− |
| |
− | Cheers

− | PurpleGuy
| |

| |
− | Hi Purple Guy, yes there is a simple way to change page names, it is using the move button. Unfortunately, this ability is only available for admins, so you can either go the long way around by creating a new page, cutting and pasting the content and putting a redirect on the old page, or you can simply ask me or another of the moderators. I hope I answered your question! 17:13, 26 October 2010 (BST)

| |
− | I was going off what it said on his page and what I knew from school. If he taught you on a regular basis then undo my edit and add food tech to the subjects he teaches on his page. 17:16, 26 October 2010 (BST)

− | As an update: we intend to trial a new experimental bug tracking extension with a view to enabling anonymous "bug" reports that will make it easier to have the wiki corrected. It will also be of benefit for general improvements and tracking forward progress. This will be implemented shortly and introduced fully if it proves to be satisfactory system. We will also be implementing an EULA-style display of the statement that a user views before editing.

I have been informed of another side of events, and there are suggestions that some moderators have been abusing their power and making unacceptable edits. I will dig further, and if I find that this is the case, I will be permanently blocking accounts of any offenders. However, I am also prepared to offer an amnesty - if you are willing to own up to any breach of the rules, now is the time to do so. We have to take matters like this seriously, as it undermines the authority of the administrators, and puts us in an extremely difficult position.
On the other hand, if you are innocent, and the allegations are not substantiated, we can continue as before.
