I think this classes as a modern European language. It is taught to all in years 7, 8 and 9 then you can choose whether to stick to your French or study German or Spanish for two years for your GCSE.
French used to be taught by Mrs Greaves (see Retired Teachers) but is now taught by other people- I don't know any names....
The whole syllabus seemed to be included in 'Encore Tricolor' text books from which many a lesson would be read. Typical homework included writing an account of your holiday in French or translating a page of 'Encore Tricolor'.
