Super Common Room

The Martyn Morris Sixth Form Centre, as it is officially known, is the old Gym, combining the previous incarnations.

The Super Common Room is being subdivided into an upper floor and a lower floor with a food outlet on a intermediate floor.

The upper area contains a very large TV and various couches as well as numerous plugs; probably for computers. Food is banned in this area due to difficulties with cleaning the couches. Several minor Olympic events have already occurred involving the couches as hurdles, toboggans etc.

The lower area contains a single pool table and several tables similar to those that were previously present in the previous common rooms. Food will be allowed here but the likelihood of you actually being able to sit in there and eat it, without having to bully your way through a large crowd, forcibly evict several people from seats and then sit on anyone who doesn't move, is pretty low. This area is also quite dark as it uses the previous gymn windows which start about three quarters of the way up the walls and then become eclipsed by the floor of the upper area.

Opinions

It is almost the unanimous opinion of the previous occupants of the Lower Common Room that the super common room with cause a greater amount of infighting. The lack of a CD Player will also make it more difficult for the moshers to relax, the results of this are still unknown and are suspected to be under research by the Psychology department.

Since the new 'super' common room has been built there have been many arguments about the channel which should be displayed on the television screens. At the time of writing the televisions are forcing people to listen to late 90's pop music which are not usually to everybodies taste.
