Kate Wright

Viewed by outsiders as sensible, fluffy and lovely, to a familiar member of Upper Sixth form, Kate Wright is truly a ferocious creature. Often found in the corner of the Sixth Form Centre, she plays a mean (and often violent) game of SLAM and really really likes coffee.

The truth

Although she is seen by many as the voice of reason, keeping crackpots such as Luke Maudsley and many of the skippers in check, the truth is that they are all terrified what she will do if they step out of line. She can kill a man with nothing but a series of graceful, deadly, co-ordinated arm motions. Its a little known fact that Quentin Tarantino made the Kill Bill films in honour of Kate.

Although many students enjoy a leisurely stroll down to the co-op during free periods, Kate insists that she will not be moved from the common room unless she is carried down the road. Although many potential carriers have offered their services, she has only entrusted this duty to Chris Holdsworth-Swan and Hadrian Barnes (unless you count the time when two guys guided her down the hill while she was wearing roller blades). Kate even refuses to walk to the Canteen to get her coffee. Is she lazy? No! She's clever! She's got other people to do it for her!

Cards

Kate owns many decks of cards. Her battered and broken tree and bird cards are used for the previously mentioned games of SLAM (and occasionally for choosing pimp names for her friends). If you are very lucky you might catch a glimpse of her food deck, which she received upon turning 18. Top trumps cards bearing Kate's 'crackpot' friends are currently in the making.
