The Rossendale Free Press is the Valley's local newspaper, released every Thursday evening. Often has sections on accolades from past BRGS students and some cross-country events.

The name is somewhat misleading, as the paper is not free. In fact, it increases in price by approximately 0.065p per week. Its called the Free Press since it chooses not to support any political party. The paper is now owned by the Manchester Evening News.
