Orienteering is originally a scandinavian sport. With tall, slim, blond and generally sexy looking participants. Mr Gray on the other hand is short, scottish, dark and in no way sexy. This image is the one that most BRGS students tend to associate with orienteering which is a shame as the real world of orienteering is devoid of Mr Gray and full of teenagers wearing see-through kit and training harder than any netballer Mrs Smith has ever had influence over.

Consisting of 8 "hardcore orienteers" who are all current members of the North West Jounior Squad, plus a few others who feel too harsh to turn Mr Gray down. The current crop are highly ranked (3rd overall secondry school 2006)and some have egos to match (Liam Taylor).

This image is the one that most BRGS students tend to associate with orienteering which is a shame as the real world of orienteering is devoid of Mr Gray and full of teenagers wearing see-through kit and training harder than any netballer Mrs Smith has ever had influence over.


The current crop

Consisting of 8 "hardcore orienteers" (HCOs) who are all current members of the North West Junior Squad, plus a few others ("softcore orienteers or "SCOs") who feel too harsh to turn Mr Gray down.
