Loves making her ex-Year 7 Set 1 dance to help them remember what they've learnt. None of the class actually enjoyed doing this so messed about for the whole dance. The people she noticed messing around most had to lead the dance at the front of the class. Every lesson, Mrs K got more and more teachers, 6th Formers and random people into the maths lessons to watch the dance. It really didn't help with Mrs Kennedy forgetting the dance all the time. Fortunately for them, all the other classes don't have to dance. The End.

Mrs Kennedy is a maths teacher and "Head of Year 7". When she appears to be dazing at the back wall, there are a few George Clooney posters which 'help her concentration'. When she first started teaching at BRGS in 1996, she was only part-time, teaching 3 mornings a week - now she is a Head of Year and is the proof behind the notion that getting on at BRGS is more about who you know than what you know. Mrs. Kennedy is most famous for her very mean and unjust 'descending numerical order' method of handing back exam scripts and having the same name as the teacher woman of off Neighbours - Susan Keneddy!

A typical year 9 lesson with Mrs K...a description from a student

She enters the room approx 17 minutes late and picks 6 girls or so to help her on a job before leaving the classroom again, failing to set the rest of the class any work. She returns half an hour later with her little helpers she then does an explanation of a circle before saying "Is everybody happy with that?" when no-one has any idea what is happening. She then leaves the room again and no-one does the work. She returns in time to send us all off to break and to set us about a week's worth of homework and giving us a day for it.

Although she is completely insane we do get through a lot of gossip in one lesson, and she always has her favourites to pick on, Alison and Jory being the main suspects from last year

Lessons with her favourite year 9 , set two... 2005/2006

  • Kennedy : ALISON!!!!!! YOU AREN'T LISTENING! COME UP HERE IMMEDIATELY AND TAKE THE LESSON!! SEEING AS THOUGH YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT CIRCLES!!
  • Alison : Ok then miss..

Alison stands at the front and proceeds to show the class about different circles and whatever!! Alix is being difficult and keeps asking stupid questions!

  • Kennedy: I DIDNT THINK YOU WOULD KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CIRCLE THEOREMS WHICH WAS WHAT I WAS ABOUT TO TEACH YOU! NOW SHUT UP AND GO AND SIT DOWN!

.. as you can see she loved alison sooo much ...

Quotes

Mrs. K (to Gareth Neville - possibly the most innocent and geeky y.7 on the planet, when we were writing out symetrical words in our exercise books): "Erm, really Gareth, I'm suprised at you! That's really innapropriate, what would your mother say!?"

Gareth Neville: (bemused look) What Miss? I've not done anything wrong!

Mrs K : (becoming irate) These are SWEAR WORDS - it's not approriate - you'll be seeing Mrs. Taylor about this.

Gareth Neville: (bursts into tears) But they are my favourites.....

What had actually happened is that Gareth had written down his two favourite birds - 'Tit' and 'Cock' - both of which can be written symetrically. However, Mrs. K, being the dirty minded lady that she is, had seemingly jumped to all the wrong conclusions, and ended up making herself out to look like a bit of a hussey infront of the whole class - ooopsies!

"Boyyss!!!!" "Boyyss on the back row!" ( we are not even talking like)

"I am just going to the photocopier...." 30 mins later. "Oops I printed 29 sheets, I will have to go back" Then the lesson ends woop!!

Student: I dont get it!

Kennedy: Then you werent listening then were you?!!?

We had lots of fun in that lesson!!!! eeeee..... with the maths crew consisting of Wendy, Alix and Becky...boy did we get up to mischeif with the MATHS FOR REAL videos!!! them videos were so fun and we only wanted to watch them to waste even more of the lesson. but miss always had so much fun doing the 'Tick' or 'Trash' bit at the end! and now im year 10 the maths crew is all broken up and maths will never be the same again... God its a boring lesson!

Fashion!!!

If you are struggling to find mrs. K in a crowd, perhaps during assembly or a school event then you are looking for the wrong person!! Dressed in garish green, orange, yellow or blue she stands out a mile from the crowd and seems to be the only exception to the "wear black and look smart" rule implied by the other staff!
