Victoria Morrison

Vicky Morrison is a geek with an obsessive personality. She never finishes anything she starts, because she has become obsessed with something else before she has time to finish it. She will, however, argue any point until she wins the argument, even if she knows she is wrong. She is summed up quite well in this quote from her stepmum (whilst talking to her dad):

I know she's really clever and that Kev, but she hasn't got an ounce of common sense.

Pre-BRGS Life

Vicky was born on Friday 13th of August 1993, at Fairfield Hospital, Bury. She grew up in Heywood, which was nice when her Mum moved there, but had long since become full of chavs by the time she was born.

Her first primary school was Harwood Park, which was huge and had two halls which were both easily bigger than the hall at BRGS. It was fun for the first few years, but then the headmaster left and a rubbish headmistress called Mrs Pickle came along. Her hand actions and patronising tone probably gave birth to Vicky's life-long hatred of anything slightly patronising and her will to be independent.

In Year 6, Vicky moved to Helmshore with her Mum, brother and stepdad. She went to Helmshore Primary, where she learnt the true meaning of patronising. She also learnt that being in Year 6 does not make you above everyone. There will always be annoying Year 5s.

Harry Potter

Vicky is a big Harry Potter fan. This has become a real obsession since the release of Deathly Hallows, and her discovery of the huge Harry Potter fandom. She now forms an integral part of the BRGS Harry Potter fandom.

Wizard Rock

At least 50% of the music Vicky currently listens to is Wizard Rock. Wrock is music about the Harry Potter books. She also likes playing wrock, whether it's writing a song about early broom games dedicated to Zak or annoying Ric by singing Voldemort is Awesome at lunch.

Music

Vicky plays guitar. She owns a cute pink 3/4 size acoustic, which she never plays but it sits on a stand in the corner of her room. She also owns a much better quality but more normal looking semi-acoustic guitar, which she has 'borrowed' from her Dad for over a year now.

Music Taste

Vicky's favourite music genre is Wizard Rock, though it can be argued that the majority of this music is indie or rock. She also likes more mainstream indie and rock bands. A general rule of thumb is 'If it has guitars, she will like it. If it doesn't have guitars, she might like it.' Not conclusive, but there you go.

Music at BRGS

Vicky dislikes the music department and music lessons at school. They are way too much about learning things, rather than making noise and having fun, which is what music is really all about.

Space

Vicky is really into cosmology. She has a ridiculous knowledge of this one area of Physics, to the point where Physics lessons often frustrate her greatly, whether it's because they have nothing to do with Space or they are about Space but are skipping the interesting bits. She has a firm belief that Physics as a subject is very interesting, it's just that the rest of the world are terrible at teaching it.

Vicky also owns a telescope and is reasonably interested in astronomy, though her biggest passion is in the BIG questions, the stuff that overlaps with Philosophy.
