The Friendlier Headmaster

Smooth Transition in BRGS Regime Change

On his arrival at the school, the current headmaster has made a large impression on the everyday life of the school. Eliminating fizzy drinks and chocolate bars from the vending machines in an effort to jump on the Jamie Oliver bandwagon (although strictly, he didn't actually "jump on the Jamie Oliver bandwagon" since it was government guidelines thus compulsory anyway), the new headmaster has really dealt with the issues that matter the most to himself.

His new decision to induct a 6th form uniform regime has come under criticism from many parents and a vast majority of the 6th formers who now see themselves as adults and wish to be treated as such.

Lord Morris set up the guitar group, as well as outlining his proposed direction for the school in his arrival speech.

He supports Liverpool Football Club and will always give the entire school an update on their latest games, wins etc. in whole school assemblies, with many scowls, hisses and curses coming from Man Utd supporting students.

It has been said by some students that he bears a striking resemblance to Captain Jean Luc Picard of the starship Enterprise.

He is a secret fan of Harry Potter, and thinks that Harry and Hermione should have got together. Or, if you are a Harry Potter fan, he is a closet and a Harry/Hermione shipper.

Quotes

"Part and parcel"

"That is not a request, that is a requirement"

"Academic qualifications alone does not a well-rounded student make." (commonly used at speech night, in a Star Wars Yoda style)

"It'll get (clasps hands) that extra bit (unclasps hands) for the Sports Hall"

"We're in the (clasps hands) business of producing (unclasps hands) well-rounded individuals"

"Step into the arena that is education." "Take the bull by the horns and achieve your potential"

"I never agree to student's taking days off school"

(a few assemblies later)

"When I was at school I took 3 days off to see Bob Dylan. Now that is a reason"

It is another sunny day in the middle of July "The day you see me walking around in shorts and t shirt is the day you can take your blazers off." (a couple of days later he was seen running around the school in a cross country kit)

In response to a request for the school to take part in a make poverty history/ send my friend colouring in campaign exercise "We don't want the people who aren't too good at art to feel left out" ...

... to which I responded "Er, it's aimed at 7 year olds- I'm sure they'd cope".

"Get behind your mule and plough"

"Oh dear"

"Ron wasn't good enough for Hermione..." *shakes head*

Why is it he looks like Valdermore.Could that be the reason that he is so interested in Harry Potter? Is he the Dark Lord? watch out, there may be a dark lord among us...

Mr Morris' Building Plans

Since arriving at the school, Lord Morris has overseen the final stages of the £1 000 000 sports hall being built, is trying to get planning permission for a new performing arts block, is converting the old gym into a Super Common Room for the sixth form and God knows what he is going to do with the old common rooms. Possibly some sort of exam room, as there isn't anywhere big enough and quiet enough except the sports hall, which is needed for PE lessons.
