Origin

On the 7th December a Weetabix eating competition took place in the Upper Common Room. This competition arose after a challenge by Sam Boaden that he could eat more Weetabix than Danny Surgeon. The scale of the competition grew until there was nine entrants in total. Original estimates were that the average person would eat no more than about twelve 'biscuits', this led to the purchase of one hundred and twenty weetabix and some five litres of milk.

The Competition

The competition began with rounds of two biscuits per person, it soon began clear that no one was willing to be the first person to drop out of the contest and more weetabix were dispatched for. Last over an hour the contest finally came to a close with the result of a dead heat between Sam Boaden and Danny Thompson.

The Results

Aftermath

All participants reported severe flatulance starting several hours after the contest. The total number of Weetabix eaten is thought to be 197 along with around 10 litres of milk.
