Year 7
In year 7 you will be given the recorder to play in the first term. Once you have done a test on recorder before Christmas, that you will inevitably pass, you will have to learn a new instrument.
Choosing An Instrument
When making a choice on which instrument to learn you have to think what you what as your first choice, second choice and third choice. You will only be able to choose from limited instruments depending on what one day do you have Music both week one and week two. Your music teacher will try to give everyone their first choice but they might not be able to due to a short supply of instruments.
Year 7 And 8
After you have been given an instrument for free, you will have free 20 minute lessons during your normal Music lessons. You will probably be in a group of others in your form. At the end of year 8 you have the chance to give up your instrument.
Year 9
