Music at BRGS is something of a 'special' subject. While lessons continue as normal, out of lesson time the Department becomes filled with many strange and interesting people. Many people suggest these people are odd... but mostly they are there for the tea and biscuits that come free with being good at music.
The department runs a number of bands and choirs.
These are all generally filled with enthusiastic people; however, the enthusiasm generally lowers as the participant get older.
The groups take part in several concerts and the like; including assemblies, playing in Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Burnley, entering Music For Youth etc.
