RE: Demotion

I noticed the comment you'd put on Clizard's/Dave's page, and I thought I'd reply while I was thinking about it. The reason no one else seems to revert edits is because you've done them all already! Seriously, I check the Wiki about two or three times a day, and if nothing needs changing in Recent Changes I don't do anything, but you seem to be the only person making these edits, which is of course extremely useful (and puts us out of a job :P)

It's true that a lot of the moderators nowadays appear not to give a damn, but I am always on here checking and altering, but mainly keeping a watchful eye. With regard to that page I (well, I think I) deleted, I think it was the ginger reference that did it in the end.

Obviously if you feel you aren't able to be a moderator anymore, then I'm sure Dave will "demote" you or whatever. But I'd just like to say thanks for all the edits you've done so far, they've made a big difference to the site. If you ever have five minutes here or there in the future to have a little tidy up it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks very much for all your help

Edits

With regard to the edits made by "Michael..." which you edited, I personally think that swearing and calling someone gay warrants more than a warning. I've banned his/her IP for 3 days and edited the comments on his talk page. Just thought I'd let you know.

User ban

Sure. How does 6 months sound?

Sysop stuff

Note to all sysops: The school IP has been blocked indefinately - DO NOT unblock it until all moderators have agreed. This is due to excessive vandalism. Please see SysopEdits for discussion.

OK I've made you a sysop now. An official sort of welcome to the mod team. You'll now be able to protect pages/move things around delete - all the bells and whistles. It'd be helpful to keep an eye on articles in your year, since it's easier for you to tell what's true or not and other issues like that. It'd also be great to do a little subtle advertising. Thanks for volunteering but don't feel you have to make a full job out of it - just for fun really. Clizard 23:39, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Hey

whats your MSN, it'd just be easier than having to talk through this silly thing.

Who are you? Email me at maestrojp@gmail.com

Sorry, it was me(Kronos), thats all, i'm too lazy to email you...

Re Unbanning users

I noticed your comment on Clizard's page - I imagine he's somewhat snowed under with work so I've had a look into it. You talked about a user being blocked? I think this is what you're referring to:

(Block log); 21:06 . . Kronos (Talk | contribs | block) (blocked "User:OMGItsMichael" with an expiry time of 3 days: Creating Pointless Pages, and Creating Pointless Form Pages with Improper names)

It does seem a bit harsh so I've reversed the ban. Perhaps the guidelines need looking into?

Yes.

I thought id come out from my shell of my IP. :P

gaylord...wooops. sorry :P

Im terribly sorry.

Never fear! Lenny is here!

Indeed it is.

I don't suppose it's possible to use HTML tags on here, is it? Because if it is, I can knock together a nice little table for ye.

Hehehe. You'll find very few people that can get around the school block. Even I have the odd bit of trouble with some pages. Get thee on MSN and I'll talk you through it - being a Mod and all you ought to know.

Cached pages doesn't work - try it. Although you can access BRGS Wiki through the cached pages, it doesn't change your IP address. I just tested it n my page (put the four tildes on and went to preview, and it showed my IP address, not Googles). Which means Wiki will recognise the school IP address and block edits.

The same happens with Google translator - you may be able to get round the school filter on pages with it, but it doesn't do anything to change your IP address. And anyway, it mucks up the page as it doesn't have the right formatting then.

You need to use something else. I won't say what else you'll get some cheeky little nipper using the same method and destroying everything. So either get thee on MSN, or I'll e-mail you.

In regards to Exploring.jpg

Hey, It's PrettyInPunk. Sorry, I intended to put it on my (Ashley Phillips) page but when I tried it it wouldn't work. Sorry, I have tried to find out how to delete it but I can't seem to find a delete link. PrettyInPunk 23:59, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Thank you very much, it works now :D Cheers! PrettyInPunk 23:59, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry to be a pain, but I was not logged in when I posted my netry, and so logged in and changed it. Sorry if it seems I was cheating and being an ass by changing the user ID. 82.3.166.165 22:17, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
